Please describe your role.
Head of Credit Control. The purpose of this position is to manage the day to day operation of the credit control department.  To ensure the prompt payment of accounts and ensure bad debts are kept to a minimum. Motivate and manage the Team at Head Office and depots.  Introduce change and new improved working practices, using new technologies available. 

How long have you been part of the Waterline team?
I have been with Waterline for 32 years. I completed work experience at Waterline whilst I was at school and was lucky to be offered a full time position once I finished school. At the age of 16, I began my career in the sales office and have progressed through the company in different departments building up my knowledge of the company.

Share a memorable moment from your career that has shaped who you are today?
Promotion to Head of Credit Control was a milestone in my career and I felt privileged that the business believed in me. This has grown me in confidence and believe in myself.

Interests

What's your favourite hobby or pastime outside of work?
Reading which I find a relaxing hobby and spending time with my family.

What's one thing on your bucket list you hope to achieve this year?
To see the northern lights and this has been booked for March 2024, fingers crossed.

If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would you go and why?
Maldives, once in a lifetime holiday.

If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Pizza - you never get tired of the taste of a good slice of pizza.

Eyes down, Bingo – I enjoy this as a social get together with friends which we do once a month.

What's the last book you read or movie you watched that left a lasting impression on you?
Purple heart, emotional and heart-warming film.

If you could have dinner with any historical figure, who would it be and why?
Rosa Parks, because she stood up for what she believed in and I admire her bravery. 

What's your favourite quote or mantra that inspires you?
Life is short live it, you don’t know what’s round the corner and every day should be lived in the moment.
