RoleLuke Kirkbride-modified

Please describe your role.
Officially, I’m a Regional Sales Manager looking after the West Midlands. Unofficially, I'm IT support to most of my fellow RSM's.

How long have you been part of the Waterline team?
I have been with Waterline for just over 18 months now.

Share a memorable moment from your career that has shaped who you are today?
I'd say there are a few moments that have taught me how to act and how not act in this industry, but the most memorable would be selling my first kitchen and the buzz that came from it.

Interests

What's your favourite hobby or pastime outside of work?
Golf, football and live music, not necessarily in that order but 3 things I love.

What's one thing on your bucket list you hope to achieve this year?
The bucket list is on hold as I get married in August. If I don't annoy her too much before then, that will be the achievement!

If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would you go and why?
Route 66 across America in a VW camper. Something I've always wanted to do and hopefully one day will.

If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Meat and potato pie, chips and gravy. Has to be a Holland's pie though or no deal.

Impressions

Share a fun fact about yourself that most people don't know.
I used to play guitar and sing in pubs and clubs on a weekend.

What's the last book you read or movie you watched that left a lasting impression on you?
Into the Wild, not something I watched recently but definitely the film that most left a lasting impression, I even have it tattooed on my arm.

If you could have dinner with any historical figure, who would it be and why?
John Lennon, because he's a real hero of mine and I would have so many questions.

What's your favourite quote or mantra that inspires you?
It's nice to be important, it's more important to be nice.
