Palio Express Laying Patterns

Palio Express by Karndean floors can be laid in a range of different patterns, depending on your customers preferences and individual style.

They can choose from a classic staggered or brickbond pattern or a contemporary look with a herringbone or diagonal lay.

Classic style

Traditionally, wooden flooring is usually laid in a randomly staggered pattern to create a natural authentic look. When fitting our rigid core ranges, we advise ensuring the smallest length of the cut is no less than the width of the plank. Korlok and Palio Rigid look amazing in. If your customer is looking for something a little different, they could look to have a diagonal staggered pattern which is a modern take on a classic laying style.

For tile installations, brickbond is the go-to providing a clean and simple uniform design.

For a customer looking for a herringbone option in a rigid core format, Korlok is the choice with two stunning wood and a tile design to choose from.

Remember: when fitting a rigid core floor it’s important to stagger the joints of planks or tiles to avoid weak spots.

Contemporary inspiration

The simplicity of laying Palio LooseLay planks and tiles make this a versatile option.

Combining wood effect planks with stone tiles can create an interesting effect which highlights different activity zones or a larger version of a herringbone pattern. The perfect choice if your customer wants to run the same colour option room to room but change the laying pattern to define the areas.
